Reuters admits altering Beirut photo
The international news agency Reuters has admitted to posting a doctored photograph of Beirut. The purpose of the doctoring was to make the damage from an Israeli air strike look worse. Not that Reuters is biased or anything. In a stunning coincidence (dws) this photographer was the same one who took photos of the staged events at Qana. http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3286966,00.html |
Standard operating procedures. IMHO...most of the photos that portray the west poorly are either staged or doctored. The ones reportedly from Qana were clearly staged.
But such photos are great propaganda for the tools to use against Isreal and the US. We will probably see them again... right here on PPOT. |

"Reuters has suspended a photographer until investigations are completed into changes made to a photograph showing smoke billowing from buildings following an air strike on Beirut. Reuters takes such matters extremely seriously as it is strictly against company editorial policy to alter pictures."
SOP, Fint? Get a grip. |
I'm not even surprised anymore. I expect this stuff now, sad:(

When was the last time "faux news" was caught forging documents or doctoring photos?
CBS? AP? ;) |
