VW expert needed

I need help getting the so's vw running ('75 Bettle type 1 engine, carberated, generator) I understand there are two different fuel pump push rods. I'm not sure if I have a short one or a long one. Does anyone have any dimensions that I can use to check what I have?
TIA

My quickie research indicates the 'long' one is ~108mm

How do I know which one I need?

Well, how lame is this? I have almost all of the factory manuals from '52 to '67, and they all state: "Use VW tool # zzz to set push rod height..."

Alternator-style pump (angled): 100mm
Generator-style pump (not angled): 108mm

I'm tempted to install an electric pump and call it quits. Any problem with running an electric pump?

Nope, just as long as you run a pressure regulator. I don't know what the pressue should be for what I'm asumming is a stock carb, but that should be easy to google.
