Project evil e30: Little of everything update
Haven't given you guys an update in a while so:
MS-II installed: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1155556262.jpg Think I'm going to fab up a cover to hide the nastiness. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1155556370.jpg I chickened out on the sand color so I went with my second choice, here is a photochop of what I was going for: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1155556712.jpg I think it came out pretty close: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1155556447.jpg Still needs to be wet sanded and buff but for a $100 paint job it looks great: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1155556472.jpg The front fender that is on there was my test panel and i still need to black out all the trim and paint the trunk and hood to match the roof. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1155556492.jpg I'm sure by now you have noticed that dash. The dash in the car was cracked to hell so I decided to recover it until I can find a minty new one. Came out really well, very few ripples. $6 bucks worth of fabric and a can of 3M spray adhesive. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1155557043.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1155557077.jpg If you're wondering why I painted the car myself and did that to the dash there is a method to my madness. I have found a considerable amount rust all over the car. Trunk, floor board, wheel wells, etc. All has been removed, panels welded in, and POR-15'd. But for the money I'm putting into the motor I figure after its all up and running I'll buy a perfect shell and swap it all out. So just have fun with this one. I did only pay $400 bucks. |
Love the dash!!!

LOL, thanks. Nothing gheyer than a late 20's guy in a Joanns Fabric shopping. I saw this and knew it was meant to be.
