Anyone near Aylett VA, deal gone bad

Any pelicans near Aylett VA?

A friend here at work was defrauded over the web by a guy up there. Bought a mazda head, throttle body and intake that had been built up to put on a miata engine. Turns out the part don't fit a miata but a 323.

Typical story, the guy has dissapeared, won't return calls or emails. Lied about where he worked, who did the work, what the parts fit, etc.

We have the guys home address, friend has even talked to the guys mom. He just wants his money back......

What are the next steps?

...and listen to them chuckle. I doubt they'd do anything. My wife had an ebay item she had won shipped via the postal service (who promptly lost it) and after numerous calls from both her and the seller (who was trying to help), the postal service basically said, "we're not going to help you or reimburse you and there's really nothing you can do about it".

I wouldn't us the USPS for anything unless it's required by law.

Aylett is a few miles east of King's Dominion. I got a ticket there once.

He's contacted the local authorities yesterday, should get a call from an investigator today or tomorrow. Lawyers here can't help across state lines....Gonna be a long process.....
