It's on display in his living room now overlooking Puget Sound. Kind of a shame it never got ridden, oh well. |

This one will be on my floor (it's coming back on trade) and for sale next week: http://www.redlabelmoto.com/details.asp?srID=126 |
748?? Drooolll....
Man, don't do this to me...you trying to get me divorced or something? |
Souk,
That Duc is gorgeous. I've always had a thing for those 900 Supersports from the 90's. One of the prettiest sportbikes of all time. It's so elementally simple. Take a look at it from straight behind, and you can actually see slivers of daylight peeking out between the fairing sides and the bike; just like the fairing's hung on like a little eggshell wind deflector around the hard bits of bike. I'm thinking of picking one up in a year or two. If it's as clean, well-maintained, and original as the pictures make it seem (are the carbs OEM or bumped up to the FCRs?), I'd be willing to spend up to mebbe $4000-5000 for one. The newer fugly Supersports may be "better," but they do nothing for me. [checking down front of pants/] The difficult part is finding one of those older bikes for sale. Quote:

I bought a "blood red SP" exactly for that reason. It's a pure fun bike.
Kie found the one I wanted, and took my ZRX1100 in as a trade too......what more could anyone want...... |

Souk's bike does look nice. A polite FYI might be that all '93 900SS models (with the exception of the Superlight) are one specification, either 1/2 or full fairing. The 'SP designation is used from '94 to '97. A '93 900SS would be essentially the same as a '94 to '97 'SP except no rattly rotors, carbon fiber bits, different master cylinders and a few other minor items. |
I think Nostatic might be willing to see you a slightly used Duc real cheap. :D
|
I think Nostatic has put a damper on my bike buying enthusiasm. Its the random stuff that scares the heck outta me....
