Hey stock traders - S&P500 short?

I was thinking about Oct 06 in-the-money put options. I'm also looking at S&P100/OEX through exchange-traded fund OEF. RSI is showing overbought and volume is falling. Can you tell why you would or would not short these two indexes? FWIW, this is just a trade. We aren't talking major bucks. Nevertheless, I'd rather win than lose.  jurgen |

Do you mean a Sep '06 or a Dec '06? I didn't see a Oct out there...
Either way, having just looked at a couple of sites to get an idea, my gut tells me no. This probably means I need to do more research. At this point I wouldn't buy a put though. Maybe others can chime in...
