New AB show on Food!

Feasting on Asphalt's first episode is on in about 20 minutes. It looks like it could be a good show.

Anyway, I know there are some Good Eats fans around here, so I figured I'd throw it out there.

Is this another Alton Brown show?

I love his show. Rather than jus spewing recipes, he explains why things are done one way or another. It's must easier to correctly cook things when you understand what you are doing.

Tonight they made stew with the motorcycle muffler as the heat source.

I'm so damn jealous of him. That trip would be sooo fun. I just love meeting people like that too......

Actually they finished out the show (although they might have cut it shorter than planned). They ended up driving him the rest of the way in the crew van I think. They still made it to LA and the Pacific Ocean, he was just in a sling for the last few shows...

I saw the final episode last night. It was actually pretty cool, he drove around LA on a cop-food tour of the city with an LA cop. Ate all sorts of artery clogging delights. Then they drove to the ocean and all took a swim. Then they had a nice segment where they showed a lot of the better pictures from the trip with the obligatory deep thoughts voiceover about what they learned...overall a great show.

I love Alton Brown. I think my wife would elope with him if she had the chance, she watches Good Eats every night at 10 PM before bed...on the bright side her cooking has vastly improved...
