"A plain and simple case of sensory overload. Yes you may be losing your mind. A breakdown is a possibility.
Re-set your priorities - write them down. Develop a way of working and studying that reduces stress.
Have a daily plan.
Dont let other people steal your time or deflect you from your plan - dont be a victim of their needs.
Take exercise, dont booze too much. Eat sensibly.
Make sure you have time for fun and relaxation.
Oh - and lighten up!"

You, StevoRocket, just saved me $180/hour...I'm going out of my mind and your advice, just to see it in words, is concise and right on.
Christian.

Your overloaded. Think of you brain as a 500MB hard-drive that needs to store 20GB of information to store at all times. Its going to be selective about certain non-important items (unless you make them so), and more concerned about what you need day to day. This really becomes evident when you have kids that need help with algebra homework and similar problems. Its concerning at first, but when you realize that you haven't done any problem like this (at least me) for 20-25 years and can't immediately figure it out, you feel like something is wrong. Your brain just needs exercise reusing the pathways that have since been redirected.
