Thanks for all of the advice! First couple of days went great. On the first day (Friday) all I did was a lot of cleaning up and learning about everything in the shop (not too complicated). Today went even better. My co-worker and I took a new Mercedes CL 500 to a wheel alignment center about 10 miles away. As we were in the alignment shop, the ******** manager called up and told me to pick up a car at the body shop about a mile away. After the Mercedes was done being aligned I got to pick up a '98 VW Jetta (5 speed) and drive it back to ********. :D After that it was just a lot of cleaning around the shop. I got a good 3 hours in and also got to set up a schedule. It looks like I'll be working every other week day and most Saturdays

Now all you have to do is keep up the good work...and be prepared to do so for the next 50 years or so. :)

This is getting way off topic, but I can't resist. There's a guy here at work that's porking his boss' (also my boss) daughter. She's 25. Our boss has a pretty good if not twisted since of humor. It's hilarious to hear the little sexual innuendos being thrown about.

So matt how is the new job been treating ya?

Wow, thanks for asking Tom. The job is doing great. I get to drive many different cars and just get to clean up around the shop and do small oddjobs. I just drove an '84 MBZ turbodiesel today and I have never seen such a dirty cloud of smoke coming from the exhaust while accelerating before. Lol. The best car I probably drove so far was a newer MBZ S500.. that was a NICE car! I got to drive an old 944 once too and quite honestly it feels nothing like my 911 at all. Maybe it was just that certain 944,, but it felt like driving a truck that had a small steering wheel. Lol. I got to drive a few BMW 7 series, a 3 series, a few mid 90's MBZs, and some other non german cars. Get this: my parts haulin' van is a '90 VW Vanagon 5 speed! Overall, I like working at ********. The mechanics seem to really know what they are doing and do the work fast and efficiently.

LOL, It was probably that one 944 then. The interior was completely shot and I swear the engine sounded like a diesel.
