This Pretty Much Sums Up My Company!

I'm trying to work a joint venture with another company - they are being more than gracious with everything we have asked from them and it seems like our guys will look at any bit of the deal and get be-muddled by it.

Finally I wrote this to the owners of the other company:

"Gary and Michael – short of taken a saw’d off to somebody, I am pushing our IT people as much as I can. This is why I prefer to have them out of the picture! Please be patient. We are a good company, riddled with growth and opportunity, surrounded by awe, enabled by fear yet paralyzed by bureaucracy. I am confident this will work and we will all prosper. It is my personal goal to make this work out and to that end it will, by God, or I will die trying."


The note must have worked because not 10 minutes after the e-mail went out the owners called me on a conference call, laughing a little but feeling better about the delays. I didn’t even have to buy them any hooch or ho’s! Just explained to them about some of the personalities and illigitimate concerns that I can put to rest internally. No need to worry. All is good and we are moving forward, not at break neck speed but we are moving forward.

You always could peddle that snake oil well. Someone with good horse / common sense is always welcome , especially when your on the other end wondering what don't these guy's understand. Good luck , I would have called you also.

Funny thing is we are not even talking lubes - it’s all about asset management - hardware/software and a method for reliability centered maintenance. We are dancing in a new galaxy and poised to disrupt the equilibrium. The next few years are gonna get real interesting.
