A few of my projects that I happen to pictures of involving fabrication from scratch.

DR-107 (AKA "One Design") I am building from scratch.

I love the challenge of building something from scratch!

Wow, that Ghia is really starting to look REALLY nice. You should really start a thread about it and keep us updated. I always want to ask you to post more pictures, but I don't want to hijack a thread.

Are you going to do a bone stock restoration, or a mild custom?

As for fabrication, I don't weld, so I usually end up bolting/riveting things together:

It has a bit of a wobble above 90mph, I should probably put in a couple more rivets.

I wish I could take credit for all the fab work on my engine. I did all the machining and prep for welding, but I had some welders at work do the welding so it would look presentable:

Nice carbon fiber work Thom. You using a suction bag to form those or just laying it like fiberglass?

If you up for it I wouldn't mind having some CF door panels in evil e30. PM me when you get a sec.

Next time you visit Tab in Findlay to have Helga worked on, you should stop by for the nickel tour. I am west/southwest of Bowling Green (I-75) by about 13-15 miles. Tab has been over before and has my phone number.

It seems that I always have some kind of car/airplane/motorcycle project going on.
