College Football 2006-2007 Predictions
The start of college football season is just around the corner, I can’t wait! Anyone want to make predictions on the outcome. Here’s mine.
Auburn, ranked 4th (AP) and 6th (USA Today) will once again not live up to expectations and loose to LSU and Florida but beat Georgia and Alabama (other games are gimme). They will make it to a bowl but loose to a sub-par team from the north. In short, they will break my heart once again. War Damn Eagle! Wayne C. |

Tennessee will beat Vanderbilt this year. Maybe. I also look for South Carolina to be tough. Georgia's going to struggle. LSU is going to be tough.
My wife went to Auburn. She's hardcore. I'm a Tennessee fan even though I went to Tennessee Tech... Mike

After carefully studying this issue by reading local sports pages,
The Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers should end up in a battle for the number one spot. That's according to their respective coaches, of course. ![]()

I'm a bit worried about my Hurricanes. Every time, i turn on ESPN, Lee Corso or somebody is reporting some new injury. I would watch out for the two big teams from the Big East this year, West Virginia and Lousiville. They could screw up some people's plans for New Years. USC may be in for a bit of a rough time this year too. As much as I hate to, I am putting my money on Florida and Auburn in the SEC championship game with the winner top play for the national championship against either Ohio State, Notre Dame or Texas.

I will continue to be pissed at the Bull Gators and out-of-towners and the UF student population in general for making traffic suck every other saturday.
Of course, I live out in the country now, so I don't really *have* to go into town on a game day...

War Eagle! I have to agree with Wayne. Auburn is ranked waaay too high to have a good season. If we were a dozen or more places lower we might have a chance at going undefeated...
![]() Mike, I guess I forgot you had a mixed marriage. Seems to be working out well for you anyway, though.

Southern Cal still hasn't recovered from last season's "loss." They'll make bowl, but won't go undefeated. I also believe UCLA might have the Trojans' number.

All will be right in the universe again once USC claims it's rightful spot as National Champion

You gotta love these pre season predictions. It's true, right now...everybody's undefeated!

GoVols +1
The problem with the SEC is that they are stronger and deeper than most other conferences and beat up on each other. Best all around football to watch. I think that Michigan will come back strong and make up for an otherwise dismal 2005 season. They lost too many games last year w/ 2 minutes to go. They were in each and every one. Ohio State will be strong but are being way over hyped. Tall order to live up to. USC cake walks thru the PAC. If they win the bowl game, they are locked for #1.

St Bobby, can you give us 10 wins this year? Could you just find someone who can kick a field goal or an extra point? Go Noles!

Auburn has a great schedule this year and well since I am a die hard LSU fan I am making the commute all the way from Houston over to see the game next weekend. All the LSU home games, we play Auburn at Auburn. I gotta say I am worried about that one. Went to the game last year and it turned out to be a kicking match in OT. yeah never know till it is over. LSU LSU LSU!
p.s everyone knows the real sleeper school this season is going to be Rutgers, hmm those sneaky scarlet knights.... ![]()
