110 degrees

110 degrees of knee movement is what you need to get up off a toilet seat.

Per my orthopedic doc.

So there ya go...

Jim Richards 09-01-2006 12:59 PM

so, you got it or not? :p

Seahawk 09-01-2006 01:01 PM

He said, "movement", he, he...

Moneyguy1 09-01-2006 01:07 PM

Shux..

I thought this would be a complaint about the weather in LV or Phoenix...

Acox914 09-01-2006 01:08 PM

people with longer lower legs require more movement.....

KevinP73 09-01-2006 01:14 PM

In some countries you have to actally squat on your ankles to use the facilities. I'd imagine that would require more like 180degree's of movement

M.D. Holloway 09-01-2006 01:14 PM

so why do you get the chills sometimes when you pee?

nostatic 09-01-2006 01:23 PM

I don't get chills when you pee. What are you talking about?

Rikao4 09-01-2006 01:28 PM

That's because your not holding your ankles.

I don't pee in the shower

BlueSkyJaunte 09-01-2006 01:37 PM

I don't drop the soap.

Rikao4 09-01-2006 01:42 PM

So your sitting on the toilet ,and your urine stream will not reach the shower...yep ..that would give me chill's.
That is low pressure..headstud's going or gone.

As one who has gone through extensive physical therapy to regain movement in the knee, I knew what this thread was about before reading it!

nostatic 09-01-2006 01:55 PM

I've spent the last day trying to straighten my leg out so I can put an immobilizing brace on. The ortho guy said it is a lot easier to get movement back starting from a straight leg rather than trying to straighten a bent one. I'm almost there...but I've always had really tight hamstrings so straightening my leg when it was healthy was a challenge...

And I can pee from the toilet to the shower no problem (prostate is fine). I just choose not to do so.

livi 09-01-2006 02:03 PM

You need a higher toilet, slightly tilted toward the front. That way one could almost administer a dump with a straight line from ankle to hip.

singpilot 09-01-2006 02:15 PM

You'll have to narrow that one down a bit...:)

As one who spent many months recovering from a very bad break to my tibia and fibia (foot as well), I sympathise with the knee issue...nothing hurt more than getting movement back to the knee after being immobilized for a time.

But, for the love of pete, buck up:D

widebody911 09-01-2006 02:51 PM

I had ACL recon in '00, and re-injured it again 3 months ago. I fell your pain - literally.

Porsche-O-Phile 09-01-2006 03:24 PM

So why you sittin' down? Real men go standing up. Even #2.

tabs 09-02-2006 12:16 AM

My Boy George would ***** while he was walking...

Moneyguy1 09-02-2006 08:27 AM

Did you mean "talking"?

Just looking for clarification......

Drago 09-02-2006 10:52 AM

Not if your tall.

Mark Wilson 09-02-2006 11:00 AM

My pee is gold.

Same here, it seems like a long road to recovery Todd but you WILL walk again. When I went back to work (construction) after having four pins in my leg the guys would all wince when I would jump off a parapet or ladder.

Dad wanted me to go back to work when I still had the cast on.

Moneyguy1 09-02-2006 01:49 PM

"My pee is gold"....

Your real name is Midas?

pwd72s 09-02-2006 10:05 PM

For damned sure, recovery from a painful injury is never fun. Know what? Crazy at it may seem, all here are happy that you are recovering. Your compaining tells me you're making progress. :)

nostatic 09-02-2006 10:08 PM

Oh, I'm not complaining

much

where's my vicodin?

pwd72s 09-02-2006 10:11 PM

Hey, at least you can pee from the toilet to the shower... Man, those jokes hurt. 40 years ago, I could pee up to a rain gutter. Now, I worry about getting my shoes wet. :(
