Popular Mechanics recently published a book that should answer your questions (unless, of course, one considers them to be part of the plot).

"Explosives were placed in both towers before the attack to cause the towers to disintegrate into dust."

It is known as gravity. They fell strait down. The amount of exposives needed to blow that much concrete, steel and contents in dust would have done more damage to the surrounding area.

This "film" was shown on one of our public access channels here in Tucson.

WELL SAID, Noah! I'm sick of hearing this crap. I too have SEVERAL friends who lost their lives on this day. Some of whom were just sitting at a desk and others who ran into the horrific mess. I wish that the day will come when we can just remember the sacrifice that was made without trying to find some hidden conspiracy theory. Popular Mechanics has put out articles on this topic which were of very poor quality in this man's opinion. I have no reason to think a book by them would be any more convincing.

I know Popular Mechanics is a little outside of the main stream, but I've always enjoyed their magazine. They should stay out of politics.
