Ed, unfortunately you make a very valid point. There will always be some new, cool technology just around the corner. We do "Exchange Server / Mobility" for a living and need to stay on the bleeding edge. However that gets tempered with what we are comfortable using. We will stay with GSM phones (Cingular and T-mobile) because we can have multiple devices and just move the SIM card depending on which one we feel like using that day. For example, when I am around town, I will carry my i-Mate SP5 (Cingular 2125) because it is small, light and I can easily triage incoming emails. When I travel, I will use one of the new QWERTY phones, either the Palm 750 or the Excalibur.
In most cases I would say go ahead and buy now. However, the wait is relatively short and IMO the improvements so great, I would wait for the new ones to come out.
