Anybody In Eugene OG?
Anybody in Eugene OR? I will be here till Thursday if anyone wants to get together for a beer. Ring me on my cell: 214-450-7864
|
Lebanon is down the rd from Eugene.
You should check out pwd72s/Paul's still unmolested and factory stock 72s. |
Yeah! Come on up...plenty of bottled microbrew in the fridge. Cindy may have an old (literally) friend visiting from El Paso, but just for a coffee thing. I have to admit, I avoid St. Petersburg near the McKenzie whenever I can. I just don't like cities...Anyway,PM me for contact info. (edit) Just waking up here...I'll give Mike a ring.
|
Bump. Mike, if you're reading this, check your cell messages...
|
I've got Mr. Mom duty this week, or I'd drive down. Sorry I'll miss you.
Hey, are you giving some sort of talk in PDX? I vaguely remember that. |
Talked to Mike earlier. IF (a big if) he can swing by here, we have microbrew long necks in the fridge, NY cuts in the fridge, and fresh sweet corn ready to boil. The problem is he's travelling with an associate, doesn't have wheels of his own. I'm hoping he can convince his associate that she doesn't need to go to church in Eugene tonight...
|
Double post...Mike's coming here,so is Randy Webb. Mike's associate goes to Eugene, Randy & Mike eat here, Randy drives Mike back down to Eugene...love these impromptu gatherings. :D
|
Hijack a thread? Naw, how about a user ID! LubeMaster here using pwd72s computer.
For all you guys that don't think pwd72s's 72 is the reaL deal think again! Then think again, the thing is MINT! We are waiting for Randy Webb... |
pwd this time. Randy & Mike are headed back to Eugene...great time had by all. Isn't it just like a guy based in Texas? Go on a biz trip, get a free meal, and a ride in a couple of early 911's? Mike, if you're reading this, beware...the early cars have a way of leading you to the dark side...;)
|
Paul -- Thanks much for your hospitality! Enjoyed meeting you and Cindy. And the car glows.
Mike survived the trip back down to Eugene and is at his hotel right now. |
Nice to know everybody is safe...the older we get, the less party animal hormones we have. Or is it survival instinct? ;) BTW, have you ever heard a hormone?

I tell you what...Pauls ride is concours - sorry Paul but it is! Randy's is, well, the best way to discribe it is "gritty" - she is fast, plenty fast and a bit unorthodox (hense the grittiness) because it has a few different ideas under the hood and beyound. A fun car to ride in and a better car to drive (but I cn only imagine because Randy didn't let me drive it!)
Good pelican people in Oregon even if you all are a bit BLUE STATE for me. Paul, thanks for the home cooked meal - and thank Cindy for her hospitality. Randy, thanks for putting off work to hang with us. Good times. |
OG?
LOL!!! :D |
OG? Well, some could say it fits! I'm sure Mike meant to type OR...
Mike, next time you're in the blue state of Orygun, you need to get a ride over the old MacKenzie highway twisties. Concours? Naw...just street clean. A dedicated PCA concours guy would never take you for a ride in his car. Those cars stay undriven... Blue? Oregon is so only because of the voting power of Moscow by the Willamette (Portland) with the help of Leningrad by the Willamette (Eugene) The state capitol is Salem, so bureaucracy rules there. If only little towns like mine could gain power...;) Randy just sent some pics he took of my car...now is as good a time to see if they'll post here as any. Here's the trunk seal I was trying to describe in another thread. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1157736862.jpg Hoorah! Looks like it worked. Randy & Mike? I really enjoyed your visit. I don't get to talk Porsche much in this town... |
In two weeks I'm gonna be in Seattle - get the opportunity and rare treat to meet Superman and maybe even John Walker in person!
My job rocks, get paid to prattle on about oil and grease, travel to interesting places and every so often meet some of you characters. I'm gonna ride this mule as long as it can support my fat arse! BTW - for those of you who don't know this - concour guys don't shut the doors or hoods completely in order to preserve the rubber that way it won't take a set. Seems like I learn something new everytime I meet one of you rascles! |
Very cool to read about these meetings :)
I know I try to extend an offer to anyone visiting, always fun to put a face to a name......well done Paul and Randy! -Chris (former Mt. Hood resident) |
