Blame it on two things, kids and drugs. I had 4 computers and 7 monitors stolen out of my office over the summer. Most likely got pennies on the dollar for old monitors and cpu's while it sat next to other equipment (brand new server), worth 10 times the amount. You would not believe the amount of suburban crime caused by drug use. Johny tries snorting heroin for a few times, loses the buzz, starts injecting, loses the buzz, needs more and his allowance can't cover his visits to the "bad" area of town. Johny starts doing the stupidest of crimes to make money. Steal from the parents, neighbors, friends. Drugs are a real problem. Check out the obituaries and the number of unexplained deaths of teenagers in the suburbs. A safe bet would be someone down the street from you.

If it was done by a kid, you know he'll be back for more until he get caught.
