it's the best. I love leaving the windows open and getting a good breeze going at night.

It's 72 here right now. It was 82 today.

This week has been completely perfect. 70s t low 80s all week. Cool mornings.

It's going to change tomorrow though.

I like fall, the colors are so pretty (they're not here yet) and I love to decorate with ghords, mums and the like, but I detest winter.

I detest winter too, man, it must get down to like 35 degrees around here in the middle of winter, in the middle of the night. I know Fall is coming because I finally got my pool sorted out just in time for the cooler weather. Historically though, it stays warm in SoCal through the middle of October.

I LIKE ALL the seasons. Would hate to live in a place with the same weather all year.

there are a couple million people who live here and they always say that. I look the right in the eye and ask them to please move back to whence they came.

SoCal has 4 seasons: early summer, summer, late summer, and 2 weeks of winter. Works for me. And we have leaves that turn color, too. I get sooooo tired of, "oh I miss the seasons..."

Then get the fck out of here! Less traffic...

Ah, Fall in the Southwest.....

Daytime highs in the 80s, nightime lows in the 60s, low humidity (Monsoon Season is over!!)

tabs...You poor souls in LV.......Here we had one day of 100 during August, and only a few handfull all Summer. It sure ain't Phooenix down here!!

nostatic: Our four seasons are something like yours. Maybe three to four weeks where there is a danger of a frost. "Toss a sheet over the tomato plants, hon...." (Actually, in January of 2002, we had snow!!) BTW....you claim four seasons and list three.

dan: Seriously, "back east" (upstate New York, on the shores of beautiful Lake Ontario, also known as "the snow belt" or, if you prefer, "the rust belt".), my two favorite months were May and October. Crisp, clear, invigurating. The only problem with October is the stretch of November through April that follows. As I got older, I began to dread Winter. If you have never spent time in other areas, you cannot make a valid comparison. We have deciduous trees that change color and drop their leaves, but they do so later and releaf sooner. I even have a small patch of grass in the back..nostalgic, ain't I? We have the advantage of being able to go skiing 18 miles away on Mount Lemmon. And, on the way up the highway, you go through every climate zone including southern Canada where things that grow in that elevation cannot survive anywhere else. We call our mountains "Sky Islands". I am less than four hours from the Sea of Cortez if I long for the Ocean. Look up "Rocky Point, Mexico".

I don't think your comment is going to have much effect unless you put it in Spanish. Much hostility in your statement, a change of seasons might do you well. Nothing like Fall in the Northeast.

I love the Floirida weather minus the hurricanes.

You all will have to wait until Jan. or Feb when your all crying about the snow and salt and missing your P-cars as I drive mine all winter long. Then you'll hear me saying I love winter.

Sept. is our hottest month, 90's in the day and 80's at night. But I know we will have some great driving weather around the corner and winters are my track months here in Florida.

Summers are my Autocross months.

Looking foward to daytime highs only in the low 80's and high 70's for the winter.

If I want seasons I visit them. I have lived in NY for 20 years and do NOT miss the snow at all.

Yeah, we are sick of the heat down here.

Weekend of the 23rd. We fly into Asheville around 4 PM.

Saturday we are planning a romantic wine tour in the P-car and possibly a stop at Hot Springs on our way back.

I'll PM you some more info next week.

Predictably, I guess, this post would turn into a warm climate versus cold climate debate. I'm not sure why those living in winter-less climates feel the need to vindicate themselves they are where they belong. Born in raised in Pittsburgh, I have zero desire to move anywhere. As I get older and raise 3 kids with one more on the way, the weather means less and less to me. More important are schools, (my daughter actually has some of my old teachers from high school), housing, neighbors, and dozens of other factors that are much more important. I bet if you would look at your day to day living compared to anyone living here, you would see little difference (sans a few hours or two in traffic). I don't know about you, but I can't cut out and hit the beach on every sunny day. The biggest gripe I have is the shortness of the days in the winter, but I'm sure this doesn't happen in the Sunbelt.

Actually, not - or at least the winter summer change is not as pronounced.

No vindication necessary. I'm just sick of the people who move here then complain about the lack of seasons. It's like moving next to an airport then complaining about the noise.

Maybe we can just sterilize the more annoying/stupid ones...
