Iran -- "a good friend and brother."
Who said that?
Iraqi Prime Minister Al-Maliki during his recent visit to Iraq's "brother country" Iran. Yes, while we were commemorating 9/11, Al-Maliki was visiting Iran, and no doubt forging ties to defeat "the Great Satan," whose Army, in a mind-bending coincidence, is busy consolidating power for Al-Maliki. I don't think it is possible for our country to be more fcuked-up than it is at this moment in history.

I can't even wrap my mind around this.
Arguably our greatest enemy in the world is the "great friend and brother" of the country for whom we are bankrupting our treasury, sacrificing our soldiers, destroying our military readiness, and dividing our people? This has to be the greatest strategic blunder in the history of the United States. Maybe in the history of nations.

Looks like we're offering the whole of Iraq to Iran(if they can take it), not just a third. Big bone to a little mean dog that they'll be busy with for a while.
Kinda like China giving the Manchu province, or Stalin offering the Ukraine and Poland.

Iran only wants the south of Iraq. That's why the Iraqi government wrote the constitution with a "federal" structure. That way Iran gets the southern oil fields, the Gulf port cities and the majority if their Shiite "brothers" - thus making Iran a terrorist superpower. In theory, they were supposed to modify the constitution after the election and remove the federal structure but it seems they forgot.
![]() Rodeo, you missed the really effed up picture - the one of the two leaders kissing. Freaking terrorist love fest. And the worst comment was not the "friend and brother" thing...it was when Iraq asked Iran to help them "establish security". Um, excuse me but isn't that OUR job? America provides the security force - not IRAN. Are they implying that America will stand down when IRAN stands up???? Rodeo, I know you are forcefully advocating withdrawal. But I will again say we need to stop being pussies and start killing some terrorists. We need a million troops in Iraq RIGHT NOW to begin executing every Iranian terrorist in the Iraqi government and then kill every Iraqi citizen who voted for them. "Free and Fair" elections are for grownups and the Iraqi people have proven they don't deserve the right to vote. But after the streets of Baghdad are running with blood then maybe they can figure out which is the correct lever to pull in the voting booth.
