Hmmm...most "conservatives" I know that tried to get into teaching at the university level are quietly pushed aside when their views are exposed. This can range from blatant discrimination to just quiet talk about "I don't like the way that guy thinks". It can manifest in professors getting forced or just letting them languish without funding, raises, or hope of promotion.

I did not realize the depth of paranoia, hate and intolerance on the part of some posters.

Once again, those who do not believe the same as me; EXACTLY the same; are liberals, commies or worse. Back to the bogieman in every closet.

Vigilance is required; intolerance and prejudgement are not.

Our "paranoia is quite justified. Just because someone dosen't agree with your commie views dosen't make it hate or intolerance, In fact the most hateful, intolerant people I have ever met are liberal. Think it isn't true? explain the low grade given for a conservative viewpoint in college, or the lack of promotion of a conservative professor, or the verbal garbage spewed in response to any conservative viewpoint posed by a conservative. Liberals take the low road, every single time, and hate, there is NOTHING more hateful than a liberal. Just read any of the previous responses by liberals for proof positive.
