Hmm, didn't realize the interior was predominantly red. I have to say, it's not my favorite color combo - sorry. Love everything else though!

I'd post a pic of my wheels, but everyone knows what a set of GP White color-coded Fuchs look like...

Nice! Shouldn't those be on your Healey or Sprite ??? ;)

rooked 930 09-19-2006 10:20 PM

Had to throw in a touch of gold (and a bit grimey to boot).

Not my first choice on a guards red car... but they work for now.

Here is what you want -- forged Mg

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1158734316.jpg

or get the 4 lb. 15" forged Mg wheels from the 1970s...

(see Chuck Stoddard's Pano article, What's so Great About a 917?)

masraum 09-20-2006 06:12 AM

I don't think Fuchs every came full-polished from the factory

JeremyD 09-20-2006 06:46 AM

Hey, my track wheels look just like that!
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1158759936.jpg

nikita76 09-20-2006 06:53 AM

Hey Mike, yes they are RSs!

How do you like these for track wheels Jeremy? I may wrap these up for the winter and use them for the track next spring or do that with my fuchs. I dunno.

Nikita

JeremyD 09-20-2006 07:04 AM

Oh, they are excellent for track wheels - they are between a pound to 2 pounds lighter than my same size fuchs - they fit over by 993 brakes - and they don't show the brake dust!

You guys really need to stop posting the pics of the RSs. I just cannot explain how bad I wanted a set for my VW a long time ago...

Then again, I guess I could STOP looking at the pics too though, right?!?! No way. Keep 'em coming.

In fact, I have a set of 14" factory BBS on my daily driver. I'd love to go with a 15" wheel, but don't want the added weight. They're supposedly under 9 lbs./piece.

Mike

nikita76 09-20-2006 10:41 AM

Hey Jeremy! That second shot of your car with those wheels really closed the deal for me! Your car looks great!!
