What's Richard's last name?

The main reason I moved to karts from motorcycles. Seems like we lost at least one racer a year in the local club. Very sad.

RIP Jesus.

I do know Richard's last name, but not sure if he wants it broadcast online so I won't. He is not the Richard listed above, though.

The article did say it was a 3 bike crash and #21 is a Richard. Hope you're OK man.

Hey guys, thanks for the concern. I really, really mean that. I'm fine and glad to say no crashes for me this past weekend. It was a tough 4 days out at Willow Springs.

A fellow 250GP racer lost his life in the last corner of the last lap of our race. I had already DNF'd the race with a fried clutch, so unfortunately watched the tragedy happen from the pits. A few close friends were involved in the crash so we've had lots of time to discuss what happened. We are all in shock and questioning our commitment to continuing with the sport.

Although I didn't know him personally, Jesus was a helluva a human being and is being mourned by thousands today.

Can't believe what I am reading. How dare you, little, f* p*&^* write like that about the person!

How dare you wish or imply the death on to someone!

Let your words turn back at you many more times.

God bless your miserable bald head!

I understand Richards Bike number was 22. And the guys on the track allways were saying you had to catch 22 to win.

Well its obvious that you couldn't catch 22 if they gave you a head start....which just shows U don't win....

It's good to hear your okay. The downside to riding bikes fast is pretty steep. I'll think about Jesus while I prep my bike for this coming weekend. Then it's time to move forwards.

I usually very much enjoy Tabs musings, and that's all I'll say about that.

Some details from a racing website:

i got to know jesus a bit this year, mostly at the usgpru events he attended and my couple stops at willow. he was a regular at wsmc, and really progressed this year. we had a great race together in june and were having a real epic battle today with at least 5 or 6 other guys at one point or another. it was a huge gaggle battling for 5th.

on the last lap, we all got into T8, there were a couple bikes in the fray and what i saw was jesus highside off to the right of his bike after we got into nine. the bike went onto its side, spinning and sliding off toward the edge of the track. he appeared to me for a moment in a compromised position: rolling on the track; prone and perpendicular to our direction of travel.

in another moment, i picked up my bike in an effort to avoid hitting him. i subsequently lost track of jesus as i went off course and hit his bike pretty good, sending me and my bike up in the air. i was fine save for a knock of the noggin and was subsequently shocked to hear the horrible news of his passing.

Axis it looks like it is impossible for U to catch 22 also...To catch 22 you really have to start thinking outa the box. Poor Poor Richard he will be missed.

Despite the difficulty/impossibility of catching 22, I did manage to learn that my 250 riding friend, Motion was okay. That's all I needed.

Web site for Jesus.. slide show and info.

Time for me to prep for a wet weekend at the track
