Hey Fox

I need a job...

slakjaw 09-26-2006 10:58 PM

Me too

Hook us up!

Moneyguy1 09-27-2006 08:20 AM

So which of the current talking heads would you most like to take over for?

tabs 09-27-2006 09:13 AM

Don't want to take over anything, just feed them analysis..

Moneyguy1 09-27-2006 12:05 PM

analysis....

love that word.....

starts with "anal" and ends with "a$$e$"

Nathans_Dad 09-27-2006 12:30 PM

Speaking of analysts...what the hell is up with Keith Olberman? I don't usually watch his show, but I caught his commentary at the end of a program a couple nights ago and it sounded like something Rodeo would write on this board. He is almost to Bill Maher status. How can MSNBC continue to put him on the air without obvious bias? Maybe Fox and MSNBC could do a little deal, Fox drops O'Reilly and MSNBC drops Olberman. Think they'll go for it?

Moneyguy1 09-27-2006 04:04 PM

Rick

I saw it too. Although possibly a bit over the top, I give Olberman points for style and balls. With the stuff that Hannity and some others come up with, it is refreshing to see someone from "the other side" with enough spine to say what is on his mind. As far as comparing the two "shows", Keith's is by far the more entertaining of the two. He at least has a sense of humor.

Get rid of them both? Get rid of one of the fastest developing rivalries on cable "news"? I don't think so.

Personally, would like to see Orielly and Olberman face off one-on-one. OTOH, I wouldn't be too interested if Keith and Sean did a to-do. There would be no contest. Hannity is simply too easily outclassed.

BTW...There are pitifully few on FOX or any other cable network that can match Mahar for wit. You may not agree with what he has to say (I have a LOT of problems with some of his stands), but ya gotta admire his quickness.

Oberman went too far. Although I agree with what he said, it was somewhat painful listening to him go on and on and on about what many have already concluded. "Welcome to the last car on the train, Keith. Isle seat or window?"

IMO, it's been difficult to listen to Oberman's hard news delivery with the knowledge he was once an ESPN sportscaster who rattled off pithy remarks.

Whatever the case, he's no Cronkite; that's for sure. SmileWavy

Moneyguy1 09-27-2006 04:25 PM

No one but Cronkite is Cronkite.

fintstone 09-27-2006 07:08 PM

Oberman make Coulter look moderate.

Moneyguy1 09-28-2006 09:11 AM

Now there is a real laugh...........

No one but Edward R. Murrow was Edward R. Murrow either. Both, in their times, trusted newspeople.
