Just imagine the formation of the valley by big molten blobs of granite rising to the surface, cooling and then scrape a couple of glaciers over the top to round things off.

pft it's only 7500 ft. I have climbed more in a day....j/k man! That place is beautiful, definitely on my places to climb. For any other pelican climbers you guys ever hear of Mt. Robson?

I'm with targa - I'm dizzy just looking at the picture.

As I get older my tolerance for stuff like that gets worse. I have a terrible case of vertigo. No way I could manage the stair climb up, and down would be even worse, don't even get me near the edge. Needless to say my years of downhill skiing is coming to an end soon. Did Dave's run last winter at Mammoth - that will be the last time...:( Some of the chair lifts there are starting to freak me out.

No problem with height's ..it's those edges , and we all know that tale about being 'dead' before you splat is not true.
