Flies??????

OK, help me here. The wife is flipping out.

Last couple of days we've had 4-8 flies a day showing up from seemingly no where.

We've determined that they seem to be originating from the kids room.

There is nothing new in the house in terms of boxes from the supermarket etc.. that we can trace it to.

No foul smell as if something has died in the attic.

Windows have been closed and are screened anyway.

There is a thru the wall AC unit in the room but it appears to be clean.

So where do flies just magically appear from?

Any help would be appreciated.

Scott

Just maybe:

One fly gets in accidentally; lays eggs, eggs hatch...

This happened to me a couple of years ago and these things were huge. It took a few days with a swatter to end the madness. Maybe one pregnant one got in there and layed some eggs.

Next time I see something like this I'll go for one of those sticky paper strips that you unravel from a cylinder.

THose strips are marginally effective. Vacate the kid's room, pop one of the "bombs" in there and take the family out for dinner and a movie. Problem solved.

I had the same d@mn problem in my basement a few weeks ago. As quickly as they showed up, they all just died one day. Very odd.

Cue spooky music....

No, but it's one of the 1st things that popped into my head.

Definately not food or anything like that. Kids are only allowed to eat in the kitchen and surprisingly they do not break that rule.

Thx guys,

Scott

Same here, and it's just my wife and I and we keep the house clean.

Attic above the kids room?

If yes, check the attic.
