I'm in love! (Weismann Roadster)

http://www.wiesmann-auto-sport.de/index.html

Insane power/weight ratio. BMW drive train. Classic Jag roadster lines. Coming to the U.S. in 2010. I WANT ONE!

Check the site for video plus interior pics. The interior is fantastic.

Looks like they stole the lines from an MGA or Austin Healey 3000.

Yup! Beautiful cars. I think the lines are from Austin Healy and the grill is like a Jaguar XK 150.

Me, too,,,wow, what a stunning car.

Edit: My Uncle owned a XK 120 just like the one pictured below. He rolled it in the hills headed from Castro Valley to Livermore Labs in the late 50's. I've got the pics at home and will see if I can scan them.

They are wonderful cars. I had the good fortune of driving one in Switzerland last year.

They are beautifully engineered and handbuilt using proven BMW machinery. Unlike the older British roadsters that the design pays tribute to, everything about these cars works well and is practical. Indeed the car has won numerous design and build prizes in Germany.

They are expensive, and in Germany they have unfortunately become associated with what in America might be described as "the Las Vegas" set i.e., people with more money than taste. The same sort of folks that might have ordered an Excalibur or Stutz in the US in the 1980's. Consequently they have often been ordered in very garish colours and interior design combinations - a fact that hasn't helped in trying to position this car in the mainstream enthusiasts market in Europe.

But a very, very fine car.
