FWIW I only feed my dog Precise dog food. I tried pedigree once, but my pooch got very sick. I trust Precise, fed it to her since she was a pup, and never had any problems.

Had a GSD growing up, fed it 1/2 pound of raw ground chuck twice to 3 times a day - the real cheap stuff, some green beans and peas with it out of the can, some bread now and then. He got a raw leg bone once every few weeks. Plenty of water. Dog lived for 14 years, never a problem. Never had dawg farts and his coat smelled like popcorn!
