froze my computer...wtf
i just clicked on an auction for a red 930 on evilbay. had a b.i.n. of $6000, i knew it was a scam but wanted to look at the pictures anyway. as soon as i clicked onto the ad my computer froze up like a stick in a pond. i mean instantly. i have been running cleaning programs now after getting the machine to start again. has anyone else experienced this?

I had an immediate warning from webroot. shields had stopped adware.

How did you link to the posting? From some link or directly from you Flea-bay account? If from some link, go study the address, I'll bet it isn't eBay. Common scam.

just clicked on the item from the 930 page of offerings on ebay.
presto freezo. |
I wanted to see what this was about so I found the listing and clicked on it. It loaded just fine. No freeze. ZoneAlarm (firewall) did not pick up anything - neither did Norton.
Don't know. Looked like a very nice car. Another odd thing I saw was when you click on the "ME" (about seller) link, Outlook opened with an email addy. First time I have seen that from a "ME" link. New seller. One feedback. Lots of views but still at $100. Seems odd all together. edit: I got there by going to ebay motors home > Porsche > 930 and it was listed there in the results. |
