They said it could not be done... Go A's!

Every baseball analyst thought Johan Santana would make short work of the A's in the playoff opener. They forgot about "the big hurt". Frank Thomas hits 2 bombs to win the game.

Santana had not lost a game in the dome in more than a year! Undefeated in his last 23 home starts!

Another note; Joe Morgan is the worst baseball analyst in the universe and maybe one of the greatest a-holes of all time.

Go big Frank!

I'd rather be a Giant's fan than an Athletic supporter...

The A's have had some historic first round tank jobs in the last few years. This year however they seem to be playing their best ball in October. This may be the year to get out of the first round.

**DISCLAIMER** I am a red sox fan.

Man, I hope the A's rock the twins!! The Big Hurt is back!!

...does anyone know how Frankie-T got that name? Great nick-name.

TyFenn 10-05-2006 07:26 AM

In fact, is there any way I can switch my name?

Moses,
I'm with you on Joe Morgan. I have a friend who was playing behind his foursome at Rancho Murietta a few years ago. For some reason Joe took off his engraved Rolex on one of the greens...my friend found it...gave it to him in the club house bar...all he got was "yeah, that's mine."... What an Adam Henry.

Wish I'd been watching yesterday and seen that inside the park HR. Never seen one.

Here's how most in the park homers happen;

Center fielder runs up to catch a low line drive and misses. Right and left fielders forget to back him up. Ball rolls to the wall. HOME RUN!

yes i will join on the A's bandwagon as I like thier style of baseball. my main reason though is the ABNY (anybody but new york, mets or yanks) pulling for the Cards in the senior circuit. that is a longshot but the mets pitching woes anything is possible.

Mo,

Yeah, I figger it has to at least involve a mental error in some way. Thanks for the pics..

True enough. I'd just like to see:

A's vs. Yankees
Mets blow the doors off the Dodgers.....yes, I'm a frustrated Giants fan.
