Many years ago, my dad found a used 12" skilsaw, and thought it would be nice for the guys working for him building stairs out of 4X material.

It was so heavy, the guys quickly went back to flipping the 4x12 beams, and cutting from both sides with a 7-1/4 saws.

Holy crap!! It looks like my son's little toy saw next to mine. That thing is freekin' huge!

Yeah, that's a standard 2hp Craftsman 7 1/4" in front of it.

I made the mistake of starting some home improvement projects back in Aug.(Tip o' the day -NEVER, EVER evn think about any DIY homeimprovement projects )

I need to cut through some rafters while in situ:(

I borrowed a 14" saw that looked just like the one in the picture to make my taper cuts on a spar I was making for an airplane I am building. It was a beast! When pulling the trigger the d@mn thing torques your hands pretty good!

I don't think it's big enough -

- Might make a good buffer for those "problem" areas

Porsche-O-Phile 10-06-2006 09:13 AM

Heck, put a metal blade on that thing and it'll take care of all the "problem areas" just fine. :)

Me likey.

There's no such thing as overkill in warfare, power tools, horsepower or money.
