Just a Texas Good Ole Boy

On Friday night I watched a Texas Good Ole Boy shuffle his stuff on Charely Rose.....It took me all of 5 seconds to figure out that this Good Ole Boy who kept proclaiming to Charley, "Its all in the book" was not a person who you'd wana cross. Whose motto is don't get mad get even. Whose wife tells him he should be more forgiving. Somehow I got the feeling that he'd wait decades to get even.

This Texas Good Ole Boy just delights my heart, a man after my own taste...one truly Bad as$ Pipe Hittin Red Neck Cracker from Texas. With a Machivellian thought process...His name Jame Baker....former Secratary of State to George the 1st.

Now ole JB has just come back from a fact finding mission to Iraq and points East...for ole GW...the 2nd....To say that ole GW isn't capable of making the necessary changes is sadly mistaken. Hopefully ole JB will join the Admin after the mid-term elections..

Sr GW had reason to go to war but not to invade completely. After all those resolutions were busted and the twin towers & Pentegon was hit it provided all the reason in the world to assemble an invasion.

Sr wanted it but did have the reason, Jr did and did...

Correct about Bush I, but incorrect about Bush II. The invasion was and continues to be unlawful under US and international law.

Yes, James Baker has been a kingmaker of long standing. George W. Bush isn't a Texas good ole boy anymore than his father is, he's pure New England yankee blueblood through and through.

Might makes right. US action is the 'law'. When a powerhouse like the US is directed to do something by way of our congressional republic than they can march into any house, town, state, country and do as they please.

If they wanted to take my home to put up a high doller condo or draft our Son/Daughter to go kill innocents then the best I can do is get a fair market price for the crib or maybe get on a talk show for 12 minutes and cry over the loss of our child.

Wow, I feel so honored to be part of a bigger good. And to think, only 150 years ago we were kill'n injuns just cuz they worshipped corn and clouds.

All valid reasons to reduce federal power.

A lot.

Like by about 90-95%.

Can't happen - won't happen. Once power is granted (and mind you it was granted - not taken) then it will never be reduced. Why would it? The folks who are in the power seat will not give it up. What would be the rationale? If I were in the seat, I would not want to give it up either (unless I could get more scratch and emotional satisfaction in the private sector).

The people running this show (both dems and repubs) are in cuz we put them there and we will always put them there for the same reason why the majority of people do not get involved in local, state, or federal politics. The majority (including the minorities) are comfortable.

They are. Really, they are. How many demonstrations or acts of controlled civil rebellion do you see occurring? Unless your on a college campus not many. We are comfortable.

So, why change. What great reason is there for folks to take a stand and actually work towards a better lifestyle government? None. None because folks are kept temperate at a comfy 75F, 4000 calories a day, enough booze to sedate and water to wash up with and plenty of CSI, American Idol and Football.

Face it - things ain't gonna change drastically if at all. You think a Centrist, a Libertarian, or a democrat in the White house will change anything? Short of anarchy and pure civil unrest will drastic change occur and even then, I am not so sure it would be for the best. No. The way I see it is if each can take care of their little hoods then all those little hoods make up a town, towns to states, and states to a nation.

JB really isn't a King Maker...but is definately a man to be reckoned with. I don't think there is anyone man that U have to get past to become king.

Well Fast on the GW being a New England Brahman, you got that right at least. For once U agree with me...

Take an aspirin, then open a good Cab and drink a glass, it's go away.
