Atlanta Enthusiasts Meet – November 4-5, 2006



Do you own a Mercedes-Benz AMG? If so, we would like to extend an invitation to join your fellow AMG enthusiasts for a fun-filled weekend of cars and camaraderie! We anticipate AMG owners from over 10 states to participate and others will be flying in from the Midwest as well as the Northeast!

Friday, November 3rd – Travel / Arrival Day


Saturday, November 4th – Photo Shoot, Tech Session, Dyno Runs, Banquet

9:00am: AMG Photo Shoot, Hilton Atlanta Northeast (Norcross, GA)

11:00am: Technical Session with Mercedes-AMG and MBUSA reps
Lunch, Hilton Atlanta NE – DOOR PRIZE GIVEAWAYS!

1:30pm: Caravan departs for Dyno runs
Balanced Performance, Sugar Hill, GA

7:30pm: Banquet with Photo and Video presentation
Hilton Atlanta NE – DOOR PRIZE GIVEAWAYS! (including a full set of performance tires from our friends at Butler Tire – Doraville location to one lucky AMG owner!)

Sunday, November 5th – Drag Racing, Silver Dollar Raceway – Reynolds, GA

8:30am: Caravan departs from the hotel for Silver Dollar Raceway
Hilton Atlanta NE


Hotel Information: We have secured a group rate at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast for just $74/night (plus tax). You must make your reservations directly with the hotel by contacting them at (770) 447-4747 and mention you are with the “Atlanta AMG Meet”

Registration: If you plan to attend (even if only for the photo shoot), you must request a registration packet (free) by e-mailing your request to AtlantaAMGmeet@hotmail.com. You will be promptly e-mailed registration forms that will need to be completed and returned.

More registrations are rolling in every day!

Our special guest for the weekend will be the AMG Brand Manager for the United States. He has accepted our invitation and will be coming down to join in the festivities.

All door prizes will be given away at either the lunch or evening banquet (including the FREE tires), but you must be pre-registered for these events. The deadline for receipt of the completed forms is October 25th as we must provide the hotel with a guaranteed number at that time for meals. We have a very small variance and "walk-in" registrations/guests may not be able to be accommodated.

A buddy has an 1982 Euro 500 AMG that his father bought in Germany from the Kremer bros. 73K on the clock and he is thinking selling it.

Please let him know about the meet. To date, we anticipate a substantial turnout and his rare AMG example would be most welcome.

This meet is being organized by enthusiasts for enthusiasts, and is being recognized by AMG/MBUSA. The tiny costs involved simply cover the meals we have arranged at the Hilton ($20 for lunch and $40 for the banquet). Shoot, even Butler Tire/Doraville offered to give away an entire set of performance rubber....FREE (mounting, nitrogen fill, balance, etc....all included!)

Well, the 82 is going up for sale, any interest?? Formerly owned by 3 time IMSA mechanic of the year, Hans Mandt, purchased from the Kemer bros.
