it was a lot of fun. We got a lot of support, everybody we asked to help did. Carquest gave us all the parts we needed, including everything to rebuild the motor and did all the machine work for us. European Performance in Raleigh did the engine rebuild (really how different is a 440 from a 3.2 Carrera motor?
the tires we donated, and radiator was recored at cost. The motor support was key, as it had a cracked head, and one of the bearings came out with the cam.And then there was the bodywork! Augie Saccoccio of Augie's Art Works http://www.augiesart.com/ did the paint, and supervised a collection of well meaning, but thoroughly incompetent, porsche guys in the fine art of bodywork. We responded by sanding off all the primer - twice! But in the end we got the panels pretty straight, and Augie wet sanded the whole car until it was shiny enough to blind you. Needless to say Arvo was stunned when that garage door went up, he had absolutely no idea that we'd done this! Britt |

Jim had been giving me updates. He was helping me and Tim rebuild a trans at EP on Saturday and then headed out for the 'unveiling'. Quite a good story. The motor was in the engine rebuild room last week, Jim really turned it around quick.
Great job, guys!
