Whatever Happened to the R Gruppe Anyway?
 

Its bin a long while since we heard from any of them. I don't even see many of them around here anymore??? Nor the famous Jackie O and his BB2....

Maybe they are just inbreeding among themselves over on the Early Registry Board?

I was out at the Silver Star swap meet this morning and a guy mentioned he had taken his car out to one of their meets. So they're still around.

On the other had, this guy also just bought a 993, so maybe he will be "disappeared" in the middle of the night. :rolleyes:

Wayne invited me to an R-Gruppe meet from Palm Springs to somewhere else (I forget). Problem is, my lowly '74 isn't an R-Gruppe car. Maybe they're hurting for members. :D

last i heard, they said that they weren't taking any new members

Good article about the R Gruppe in the last edition of 911 & Porsche World - out of the UK. You should be able to find this publication at the any major newsstand in NA.
