Anybody heard of these clowns?
We are looking to change our phone service and we received a flyer in the mail from them today. It looks as though they are based in Texas. thanks

like a reseller.
They can resell SBC service for less then SBC can sell it for by law. in short. |

CLEC = competitive local exchange carrier.
A "small telephone company" that piggybacks onto a big telephone company's equipment. For example, Bob's Phone Co rents equipment (or places his leased equipment) in the giant phone company's central office. Bob pays a commercial rate to Pacbell for access to their network. Bob then rents the lines/dialtone to you at a retail rate.

AT&T/Ameritech. This Sage Telecome is ALOT cheaper.
