Fraternity brothers?

Okay, just for something different, who here survived a college fraternity?

Fraternity, school, and grad date?

Chi Phi, Lehigh University, 1978 here.

Pikes, huh? On my campus they were the @$$holes.

Teeks (Tau Epsilon Kappa) were the nerds.

Lamda Chi Alpha were the stoners (a good friend of mine was the president).

Chi Omegas were the lipstick lesbians...

...Okay, I'm back now.

Me? I didn't feel like paying $8,000 a year to be told lick upperclassmen's balls (or whatever they did for hazing). I also went to a college where fraternities were banned until 1989 and they made up less than 5% of the student population.

It wasn't just on your campus friend....

$8000!!!! Not sure what your talking about. Tuition? I think my houses fees were only like $1000 a year? And I certainly did not lick anyones nuts......at least no human nuts....

Sig Ep (Sigma Phi Epsilon) from Youngstown State,

Our house fees were 125 bucks a month, except for your parents thats about as cheap as yor gonna get it, but ya some of them are expensive but no more than on campus dorms or apartments, plus most have chefs that will make you what u want when u want it, nothing like comming home wrecked and having food ready to go

My two best friends are my fraternity brothers. But boy, has it changed. No hazing, no alcohol on the property - big surprise there is a huge decline in interest.

Phi Kappa Psi, University of Toledo, late 80's. Some of the best times of my life! Ski trips with the Tri Delts.....Spring breaks in Daytona...Drunken tailgate parties....skipping class to play ping pong or to watch Miami Vice re-runs.....Thursday night pitcher drinking contests...

About 6-7 of us from that era still get together a couple times a year. Many of those are truly like family.

Delta Upsilon - Class of 2002 Carnegie Mellon

I actually got a refund of over $1000 for moving out of campus housing and into my fraternity. It was cheaper every year than living in campus housing, and we could actually have fun there occasionally.

Mine was no hazing, well at least that was the front that was put up. To be honest i wouldn't want to do it without it, i agree in thinking that that has alot to do with the drop in interest. I talk to alot of my old brothers alot, theres a pretty good sized group that get together. People that dismiss it, just really don't understand.
