I got to give mad props to Weird Al. I remember hearing him on the Dr Demento Show when I was growing up and now my 14 Y O daughter downloaded his "White and Nerdy" song and thinks its hilarious. Talk about staying power.

I love that song, but it will get stuck in my head too fast if I listen to it again. LOL. Weird Al is priceless...

There are two factors at work here which over-qualify me as "white and nerdy"

a) I 'got' 99% of the references in the song; the only refs I didn't get were the equation on the white background and the significance (if any) of the dancing guy.
b) I have no idea what the original song was

Schrödinger's wave equation for the hydrogen atom, but with a "typo"--Dirac's constant is replaced by Planck's constant.

Not sure who the white guy dancing is. Here is a link to the original video. It's a video of racial profiling:

The best part of Weird Als is the opening line. "They see me mowin, my front yard"!

I just sent that to bunch of "white and nerdy" kids I know, but they've probably already seen it.

I love the subtle details in the satire. Good job, Weird Al!

Your kidding right?

I am a 40 year old white dude and I know the original song. As a matter of fact I loved disturbing my son and my neice on a recent road trip, I kept telling them I was ridin dirty. They just rolled their eyes at me.

Before seeing the vdeo and really listening to the words of the song, I always assumed ridin dirty was another way of saying you had batwings.

Gosh Thom even you didn't know the original song? Even my mom knows the words to it, and trust me she is plenty white and nerdy. Truthfully the only reason why she knows the words is because I force her to listen to it.
My favorite song is definitely the "It's all about the Pentiums."

the dancing guy is Donny Osmond, a great touch, since he is a squeaky clean white guy. I love his expressions as he's dancing too.
