This PISSES ME OFF

http://www.cnn.com/2006/HEALTH/10/19/superbugs.reut/index.html?eref=rss_topstories

90,000 dead per year due to infections caught in US HOSPITALS?

What is this? The f*cking Land that Time Forgot? You meatheads flip out because 15 people die from eating *****-covered spinach, or 2800 (total!) soldiers have died in Iwreck...but our hospitals kill 30 times that EVERY YEAR, and meanwhile our healthcare costs are skyrocketing and these bozos can't even be bothered to WASH THEIR GODD*MNED HANDS????!!!

According to one study, neckties worn by doctors were also a major source of infectious material.

Let's face it...Like everything else, the health industry is a mess, run more like a corporation that a humanitarian effort.

Hospitals are full of sick people. Avoid them at all costs.

Yeah, and what`s 3,000 deaths in the world trade center then, in the great scheme of things ? You meatheads flip out for that and went in a war that is costing $300 Billions. That is one hundred million dollars spent for each of those deads. Just think how much soap and hospitals and fixing of the healthcare system and the social security that could have bought. Now THAT PISSES ME OFF !!!!

I heard somewhere that 50-percent of human bites on other humans result in death.

Think of that next time you sit like a fool while a girl gives you a hickey.

Some guy bit me in the face back when I was in the Navy, in a bar fight in S. Carolina. Spent a full day in the infirmary.

well said...3,000 is not that much in the bigger scheme of things....and we make it into such a grand catestrophe for the ages! oh, now it's personal, now it's a "different world", ha ha.

i suppose you can blow anything out of proportion, 90K dead no washing hands in hospitals, 5 min. story - 3K dead in NYC, now that's earth-shattering. WAR ON TERROR 24 hrs a day for 5 years on cable news.

wow!!

It's not about revenge, it's about our way of life and protecting it. Therein lies the difference, those on the left view 9/11 as an isolated incident, we view it as first of many unless we act. They will have their war, we cannot choose to "not participate".

(yes Pat I/we all know you disagree, so just go away)

In so many ways, not just from the outside, the "American way of life" is threatened.

BTW...the wiew that the left sees the 9/11 as an isolated incident is a generalization. I am ceretain that most lefties as well as righties can tie the different attacks into a pattern.....

if hospitals are to dilligent about disinfecting everything, you'll just get resistant strains,... the UK and the Netherlands allready have em... call em "the hospital bacteria" , and it causes all kinds of nasty symptoms...

Wouldn't those people that got infections in the hospitals already have been sick anyway? Otherwise they wouldn't have been there....
