Can't people simply hold a different opinion than you and NOT be some "tool" in your massive conspiracy? Maybe he gave it some thought and arrived at this opinion all on his own (albiet opposing yours...so sorry about that :( )...????

When Bush has some soldier spotlighted at the State of the Union, are they "tools?"

There are tens of thousands of soldiers serving every day....each of them could sell an article hammering the war and our President just like this guy did (the liberal media will buy any article from any GI that does so)...but they choose not to. His opinion means no more than theirs. He is a member of a very small minority....he sold out and is a paid tool of the left.

No, Tilman's opinion means less, because the opinion differs than yours.....

And just curious, what makes you think his opinion is a "very small minority?" Did you interview all 120,000?

I appreciate you thinking so...

...

That does not make him any less of a tool. If his rant was supporting the President or the military....the lefties would not have bought it and spread it throughout the media. Of course he is their tool.

Of course not. What does recognizing a soldier have to do with the right?...Unless, of course, you are somehow making a point that all soldiers represent the right...because otherwise he would be a yellow protestor instead of a brave soldier. If that same soldier was selling articles pushing the republican party...it might be different.

Just through observation. I work daily with folks that have spent a heck of a lot more time at ar than he. I know hundreds, if not thousands of military members. I have not once heard a single remark that resembled his. If there were more with that opinion, we would see a lot more articles like his and a lot more GIs would be in Canada. He has every right to his opinion and every right to sell it to the highest bidder, but he is clearly a minority in the military and has broken with his brothers for a little fame and a few pieces of silver.

Tillman was only in the service for a brief time and saw very little action. His brother died...not because the administration screwed up...but because...even though his intentions were good, he screwed up (assuming the article posted here that was written by a reported witness was correct). That does not make him any more or less heroic than any of the guys who have served that were not killed...

By fintstone's definition, 70% of Americans are "tools."

There's only one tool on this thread, and it's the guy that has sold his soul to the Republican Party in general, and the Bush administration in particular. It's left him bitter and paranoid, but I'm sure the pay's good. You've earned your blood money fint, but the cost has been substantial.

Flintstone, for those of us that "would not understand," well, pretty much anything about this Iraq war you seem to so dearly love, please tell us how your personal experience in combat gives you a better perspective than Kevin Tillman or any of the returning soldiers that are no longer behind this war? Serving in the Navy during the last few years of Vietnam, and a few years beyond, unfortunately didn't afford me any direct combat perspective. Maybe somehow I'll learn to see through your eyes. Thanks. :)
fintstone has no combat experience, can't you tell?

Only one? Now you're hurting my feelings. ;)
