Porsche Color?

So Ferrari is most associated with red, what is Porsches' color?

I would say silver even though I'm not a big fan of silver Porsches. Isn't silver the "national racing color" of Germany?

I would say maybe now silver is colour associated with Porsche, also red in the 80's.

The national racing colour of Germany is white, which hasn't been used since the silver arrows in the 1930's. And why most people believe the colour to be silver.

In the 1930s, the 'Silver Arrows' came about because the team needed to shed several kilograms of weight from the car. So they stripped off the white paint. The rest is history.

I've read this somewhere as well. I think it was in the latest Leffingwell book.

Jorian - If you're interested in the Silver Arrows, some of the best books have been written by Chris Nixon, from the 30's I would recommend "Racing The Silver Arrows" and from the 50's his book called "Rivals" is also very good, this covers the Mercedes W196's and Lancia D50"s. Rosemeyer is also very good, in fact it was this book that started me reading about the Silver Arrows.
