Let's Go for a Drive

Anyone up for a spirited drive on a mountain road?

Looks perfect. I wonder how nicely MFI engines will resonate in the canyons / tunnels? :D

pmajka 10-25-2006 06:38 AM

um where is that???? Whey Cool!

svandamme 10-25-2006 07:04 AM

yeah ,where is that place, i've got a few brave pills i wanna put to good use

Jeff Higgins 10-25-2006 07:08 AM

It's my driveway.;)

Actually, I'm told it is somewhere in Russia. That's a big place, so it doesn't narrow it down much, but that's all I know. That may not even be true for all I know.

Thanks for posting those photos Jeff, very cool!

Could be straight out of one of the older need for speeds!

930addict 10-25-2006 07:31 AM

Wasn't that stretch of road in a James Bond movie?

If it wasn't it should have been by now. Too cool. I ownder when it was made? How many men died making it? Had to have been a LOT. Seems like hand mining or precsision blasting only could have made it - but its probably too old for that. Thanks for sharing.

That's absolutely b1tchin!

A GT3, that road and a bottle of whiskey have all the makings of a good story. :)

My toes are tingling, my head is wobbly and I'm seeing spots after looking at that.

Man, would I LOVE to take my hovercraft down that road!

Noah930 10-25-2006 11:47 AM

Wow. Too cool. I'm dizzy, too, kach. I remember seeing a corner or two similar to that (though on a much smaller scale) riding around the PNW, but to have an entire road like that is an incredible engineering feat.

Z-man 10-25-2006 11:50 AM

Wow. Cool. Holy Crap.

That is all I have to say...

Amazing.
With my luck next time I take a vacation hauling the 25 foot 5th wheel I'll end up on that road.......

I have seen these pictures befor, could have sworn that the site (the shots came from) suggested that this was in either Columbia or Peru, definitley South America somewhere.

Looks like it would make a great rally stage, strap me into one of these babies and send me on my way!

There was a documentary show last week on Discovery where a man drove across that road. Portions of that road are called "The road of death" or something similar.

And I thought the Uphill at Limerock was scary...
