Bandwidth tracking?
 

Does anyone know of a way to track bandwidth usage on a website without shell access? As part of a new security policy my host isn't allowing shell access and I obviously don't have access to any Apache stuff. ExTRemE Stats and GoogleAnalytics tell me about hits and what not but I don't know what files are being accessed and how often. Is there a server side cgi script or something that can handle this?

I wish I still had shell so I could mv my daily log and then analyze it with WebLogExpert Lite...

Tell your provider that your access log (and error log) are important to what you do, and you will switch providers to retain access to that information if needed. At the very least they should be able to use a log rotator to put the most recent week/month/etc. in a directory you can access via scp/ftp.

Server side, you could run analog via a cgi form, but you'd need to know where the log files, etc. are located on the filesystem.

Normally, I *would* but I'm getting a deal (free) because my friend's dad owns the company and I don't to cause any trouble. (Or get billed for the b/w at about 15GB/day based off my old logs.)

I think I remember where the logs are located, I might give analog a shot.
