anybody got a scangauge?
In case you aren't familiar
http://scangauge.com/ Looks pretty cool. The engineering minded nerd in me is thinking, huh, gotta get one of those. Reading and clearing codes (more conveniently), but all of the reporting data is pretty darn cool. And the price is reasonable. Does anyone have one or have used one? What do you think? |
I had scangauge once but the doctor gave me a shot and it cleared up. :p
Cool looking toy! |
I've had one for a few years - got it for my '98 Volvo V70T5. It works as advertised. It's easy to connect and it has bought me a few lunches as it's passed among my coworkers.
Maybe you could get the same info and code clearing in something from Autozone for <$100? I've never used the gauge part of it. It does have some impressive "trip-meter" functions. Note that not all of the available gauge outputs are available for all cars. My Volvo doesn't read out MAP and a few others. It doesn't do data-logging. There are some others out there in the same price range that will dump data to a PC. Good luck, mike '78sc |
I haven't seen anything with as many features at autozone, and what I have seen at autozone is about the same price or more.
Logging would be cool. Hmm. |
