1967 912 Only $2000 -- VERY REALISTIC FOR A COLLECTOR

I think this guy might be just a little optimistic in his pricing on this 912:

Maybe the interior looks really nice?
Some of his other "cars" look to be priced a little better, but I think he has inflated expectations on the "Porsche."

azasadny 11-01-2006 07:23 AM

I'm just glad that guy isn't my neighbor!

id10t 11-01-2006 07:30 AM

You could maybe part it out, store the parts for 10 more years, and then get $2k+ out of it...

Jeff Higgins 11-01-2006 07:33 AM

The front bumper looks a little odd.

BlueSkyJaunte 11-01-2006 07:39 AM

I give you FOUR DOLLAH!

Big Ed 11-01-2006 07:42 AM

A beautiful rust free survivor.

stevepaa 11-01-2006 07:42 AM

Is that one dollar for each exhaust? Deal.

Porsche-O-Phile 11-01-2006 08:27 AM

A buck is too much.

CarreraDan 11-01-2006 08:42 AM

If anyone would like me to go check this beauty out for them it is only about 30 min away:D Did you guys check out his on-line inventory? Some of his prices appear to be a bit optimistic for the condition of the cars (white mid 80's Vette for over 7k). I might have to just go and take a look at how bad that 912 really is--poor thing.

It is a rear bumper, (early), upside down on the ground.

I had a complete 912 in similar condition, actually rustier, for $50 from a co-worker years ago. I sold it for a massive profit, I think $250, a short time later. If I'd had my wits about me, I would have at least kept the drivetrain and any other valuable parts and crushed the rest. It was probably ~200 lbs. lighter than stock from rust/metal missing, if you had a parallel parking accident it would have bent in half.

That's concourse quality.

cashflyer 11-01-2006 02:59 PM

I've been to this guys lot. 90% of what he has there is overpriced crap. If he could make money on rust, he would be rich...

(10% "good" may be a generous estimation :( )

schamp 11-01-2006 03:18 PM

OK, I had to go look. Someone should say words over it and put it in the ground. Sad part is someone will pay that or close. He then makes another 1,000.00 shipping it somewhere. Sad, really sad. Schamp

Is that a set of sport seats I see in there?!?

pwd72s 11-01-2006 09:40 PM

Probably not...sports and standard seats both used the same head rests...

stomachmonkey 11-02-2006 05:04 AM
