Need Help, Shipping Car to Europe Questions:
 

I helped my cousin sell his 912 on eBay, a guy in Spain bought it. He is of course responsible for shipping, but I have agreed to assist w/ info and facilitating it. The car is in Minneapolis, MN., does anyone know what port it needs to get to? Boston? New York? Can it ship from West coast? How about transporting from MN. to port?

Does anyone have any experience doing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated, even leads to chase down for info. Big TIA. :cool:

why should you care? if he arranges shipping
he should have somebody pick it up at your door and take it where it needs to go

all you need, is to make sure that you have some way to get proof that whoever collects the car, is the right person...

or else you could end up with the "i sent you money , now where is the car?" problem...

i'm in the process of selling my car too
and i won't even drive the car onto the flatbed, i won't even take it out for a final spin, won't even drive it out of the garage..
those that come collect it can do it
if they screw up ,if they ding it , i am not to blame
i'm not risking anything once the sale is agreed on...
only real force majeur could cause trouble, but i cannot eliminate that... hence the name force majeur..
