Please let me help if you have any pediatric issues!

After almost two years on this fantastic forum I want to express my gratitude the only way I can. I feel almost silly, but I have to admit I get withdrawal symptoms if I canīt get to a computer every day. Just to check in to see whatīs new and how the current threads are coming along. The generous help and hands on advice spread around this forum is down right heart warming. I have in a short time learned so much about Porscheīs and I have done upgrades and service items myself that I never would believe I was capable of. And itīs all thanks to you!

But thatīs only part of the membership reward. The long distance friendship, support and company is invaluable. Many of you I feel I almost know.

Anyway, I feel a strong urge wanting to be able to give something back if possible. And the only thing I can truthfully say I know something about is pediatrics.

So, please, if any of you have any pediatric issues you want to ask about or discuss - PM me. I will be more than happy to assist if I can. Regard it as a long distance, anonymous second opinion. Sometimes I donīt have access to a computer, in which case it may take a few days for me to answer.

Please just ignore this post if you feel it is inappropriate or otherwise ill advised. Itīs just that I canīt think of any other way to contribute.

can you do anything about the childish behavior on this forum? it could become epidemic!

Jim Richards 11-03-2006 11:13 AM

LOL!

Actually, that's a very kind offer you made, Markus. I can't benefit from it, though others with children at home might.

Joeaksa 11-03-2006 11:29 AM

Marcus,

You can help us in one way. How are things going with you? Did you ever settle things with the Mother and I hope that you have full custody of your children?

Joe

lendaddy 11-03-2006 11:31 AM

Thanks Markus, you've helped me before and I thank you greatly. My kids are great right now so no questions there. But......I do have this thing between my legs that looks like a four year olds arm holding a softball.:D

stomachmonkey 11-03-2006 04:23 PM

Markus,

My kids'll keep you so busy you'll soon regret your generosity.

You can always start by getting your a$$ out to America and we can fly to where you come (Chicago's always nice :) ) and we have a big party.

cstreit 11-03-2006 04:45 PM

Well I have a sore spot on my left foot. (You did say podiatry right?) :)

Thanks, with a 2 year old it's always nice to get an outside opinion!

Actually I might be a better choice on that one

Heel pain, right? Bottom of the foot, worst on getting up in the morning, generally not too bad by the time you get done brushing your teeth...JK :p

Sorry, I get that a lot, people always taking off their shoes, makes me glad I am not a proctologist or gyno.

or are you JK about the sore spot on the foot...

Markus, hope life is good and you are playing with your kid more than you are fighting with the ex

livi 11-04-2006 01:00 AM

Joe,

It has worked out very nice. Joint custody and a strong will from both of us to cooperate in the best interest of our daughter. It is another full time job of course, with so many kids in two different places. But I can rest when I get old, as long as everybody is happy. Thanks for asking!

len,

Thus equipped I would look into the movie business for some really big salary checks. ;)

CC,

I would have to bring the kids, so we can always party at MacDonald's. :D

flatbutt,

Thats an epidemic I rather enjoy in reasonable portions.

Tobra,

Life IS good and I play more at forty than when I was a kid.

Jim,

Thanks for the kind response. Sometimes I wish my kids had grown up and moved out. At least for an hour or so..

cstreit and stomachmonkey,

Bring them on! SmileWavy

First I thought it said geriatric and I thought great for me, just had one of those milestone birthdays...then I saw podiatrist and I thougt great for me, my 2 year anniversary of tearing up my plantar fascia is coming up and my foot still freaking hurts....

Then I look closer and it's pediatrics, and I thought, great for me. Now post your address and I'll fly my 12 year old son to you. I tell him the reason my foot still hurts is because I have to kick him in the a$$ to do anything.

Just kidding (well kind of). I always appreciate your style, wit, humor, gratitude and intelligence in your posts.

Thanks for the offer Markus.

Markus, dunno if you have any experience with this
but lately the shift of 7 year olds in my sweat shop have been performing a bit sluggish... would ADD pills help or not ?
do you know any uppers that might help them do a 14 hour shift instead of 12??any idea?

livi 11-04-2006 10:51 AM

Thank you so much for your kind words!

Ahh...Stijn, let me get back to you. I think I have what you are looking for down in the basement. Not legal anymore. :D

svandamme 11-04-2006 10:52 AM

the good stuff never is... it just never is...
never stopped me though...rules are meant to be broken

livi 11-04-2006 10:59 AM

In practice, itīs not illegal until one is caught..:p

PorscheGuy79 11-04-2006 02:48 PM

Markus is about as good as they come, he was a really blessing when I was going through some very troubling times. Your opinions on this site and constant affirmations for the hard work on projects is more than enough!

livi 11-05-2006 12:40 AM

Hey Matt!

Thanks for your very kind words!

Seems I havnīt seen you around much lately - or have we just roamed different threads ?

Everything OK with you ?

Actually, that's not a bad idea......

Never been to Sweden. You guys would love it too...with all the hot Swedish girls and all.......

We'd probably get 3 people total in the end, but we could get something together... Can I take mom? LOL. Maybe I can find someone to stay with her.....

Edit: BTW, nothing to do with you personally Livi...it's the distance..... That sounded bad initially and that was not my intention...

Everything is great over here. I have been laying low on Pelican not by choice, its a hard game juggling the school work, the big city social agenda and, of course, the cornicopia of beautiful women. It was a tough decision to trade a bit of my P-car world for the big city life, but at this point in my life I can say without question it was the right choice. I can say I miss you guys though and my car doesnt very well like the lack of attention (but my dad loves having 2 911s to choose from).

I must say after everything is said and done I havent felt this much like myself in a very long time. I am very much relieved.

livi 11-06-2006 02:58 PM

That is great news, Matt !

You know where to find us when you get Porsche withdrawal symptoms.

Take care!

gassy 11-06-2006 05:11 PM

Thanks Markus. With three kids, I may take you up on your offer sometime. :)

I'm a "joint custody" dad too--I can relate...
Christian.

November 2-6, 2007 would be a good time to visit the Southeast USA and rent a sportscar of some sort to see it. Hint Hint.....

There might be a few Pelicans around to meet as well. ;)

Pay no attention to him. I have it on good information he is drunk, or hung over depending on the time difference there.

I heard he just had his finger in a dyke too.
