Michigan was a Dem slaughter last night.

We knew we would lose to the incumbent Gov. but apparently they got the state House and perhaps the state Senate.

We are officially a welfare state.

We are almost dead lst economically and their plan will be to suck harder on our veins.

Not being melodramatic, I'm just calling it like I see it.

Michigan is going to get really ugly for business really soon, not that it's not already ugly

Devos had no plan for recovery, what plan he did have would of caused such a shortfall in the state budget that almost no one endorsed it (restructure of school tax income/property tax and tax breaks). It was not expected to be passed should he of held office.

Unlike the Federal government which chalks up the national debt and just prints more money, the state budget must balance.

We have had enough of Bush style economics, making the top 2% richer and having the bottom 98% pay for it is a raw deal. Michigan has been hurt enough with this type of policy.

Just say NO!

Michigan traditionaly splits it's votes, congratulations Mr. Cox (R) you made the grade.

Next time just put someone better, up against our beloved governor.

I understand your happiness kach, but you ignore the problem. Taxes for business will not be relaxed, the overall environment for business will remain unwelcoming.

She can blame it on Bush all she wants, it's eyewash. Michigan is a BAD place to own or start a business, and she's not going to make it any better. Like I said, welfare state.

Don't feel too bad Len, Ohio voters just voted for a large increase in the minimum wage which will probably cause quite a few businesses to close their doors and or raise prices thru the roof (after all, EVERY American should be able to raise a family and live comfortably by flipping burgers at the diner).

The raising of the minimumwage hurts those making it more than anyone else. Those jobs get eliminated. No one playing a significant and meaningful roll at any company makes minimum wage.

So, instead of two idiots wiping tables and sweeping the floor at the BK Lounge, you get one.

So instead of 6 kids running the cart coral at Walmart, you get 4.

That's the way it really works.
