I’ve been trying to be proactive about it, went out running, played guitar for a bit. I was wondering if anyone had any long term suggestions. The hookers and blow angle has been covered.

Is your first name Kevin? ;)

Plenty of legal drugs to make you feel better (actually they don't allow you to feel anything).

You need a project. Go build something.

red-beard 11-07-2006 01:43 PM

Or go vote, that will make you feel better, after you throw up!

whatever you do..................DONT EVEN..............MENTION THE LAST SQUEEZE TO THE NEW SQUEEZE IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM! just tell the new one you have been on "assignment" and you havent gotten out much, nor dated in quite some time. they will feel sorry for you, they will hug you, they will snuggle with you, they will purr in your ear. lil white doves will be flying, lil furry bunnies will be joyfully hoping around. birds will be singing.

AND THEN FUCH HER LIGHTS OUT! get up the next morning and face the very first day of the rest of your life. hell maybe upgrade a few of the options. being single is cool at 49. remember when you were 18 and didnt give a RATS A$$ about nothing and it felt good.....................SAME THING NOW AT 49! just a hell of alot smarter about certain things! love is one of them.

Just be aware that feeling shi*ty for a few months is normal. It means you cared for this person deeply. Try and do things for yourself as far as hobbies, career, travel, get caught up with old friends (not old gf's), family. Start new projects-keep your mind off things. Eventually you will meet someone and you'll be surprised you don't think about her anymore. Enjoy the single life!

join a pool league.... apa.org... once a week you get to go out, learn how to shoot, interact w/ other women (on your team and opponents'), including waitresses....

....so, in summary... they serve there booze, have women, and the women bend over when they shoot pool. any questions? ;)

Start a crackeling fire and open a bottle of good wine, preferably a Cabernet or spicy Zinfandel. Grab a box of tissues and the most recent photo album or scrapbook of your memories together. Have a good long cry and.....Ah, who am I kidding, run to the nearest bar and bang the hell out of the first Bimbo you see. You'll feel MUCH better..

...but I still don't understand why you describe yourself as, and I quote, "punk rock girl" in your profile?

Is there something interesting we need to know?

when you become indifferent you will have arrived. Good luck.

vash 11-07-2006 05:25 PM

answer? he started with, "depends if you are good looking or not..." i laughed my ass off.

After my last divorce, I went to a NA meeting & declared my new vow of celibacy. Later that night, I took a beautiful ex stripper/callgirl home & had the filthiest 2 years of sex imaginable. After I got that out of my system, I kicked her to the curb & went out & found a good women to settle down with & start a family.

Don't let him talk you into the 'friends with benefits' thing.

Not that there's anything wrong with that ;)

This is rapidly turning into a candidate for funniest thread of the year.

Sorry Mr. Cheese....not laughing at you, laughing with you.

You are laughing now, right?

Not wishing to change the subject, but it is kind of relevant...

What's the quickest 'turn around' time anyone has ever managed? I think in order to count you can't claim being dumped then pulling out the 'T-car' so-to-speak.

I once managed to get dumped by one girl in the pub, and the same night managed to acquire another young lady - in the very same pub - and took her home. Total turn around time of about 6 pints or 3 hours. Unfortunately I still don't know how I did it, otherwise I'd gladly pass on the information!

(still no explanation of the 'punk rock girl' thing. Have any of you guys ever met the Cheese'ster and care to shed any light on the situation?)
