How close was Tennessee (Corker/Ford)?
All I've read on the topic and no percent or vote count numbers are listed. Help me find some.
...........former Chattanooga Mayor Corker beat Democratic Rep. Harold Ford, who was trying to become the first black senator from the South since shortly after the Civil War.

Thanks for the link hardflex .
From the pie chart they split the independent vote D/R by 50/49..........................had to better than that for Ford to win. The 3% will not trigger a recount, has to be 1/2%. If it was 1% Ford could pay to have a recount. Hey Ford, call me.......................unbelievable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vd_lkdiWjto

Independents (or Centrists, in my book) end up deciding most elections, in my opinion. Dems and Repub's cancel each other out.
It will be interesting to watch how the 2 independents position themselves in the new Senate. I think they may empower the moderate position. At least I hope so.

I'd like to see a recount in TENNESSEE based on the Shelby County election/pre-election experience. No paper trail will make this difficult, hey?
Corker/Ford were only 3% apart state wide. http://www.bbvforums.org/forums/messages/1954/44242.html Quote:

Well, I've heard Repubs on this board praise Lieberman, from what you're saying I guess that was only for his support of the war. Still he is free to float anywhere he wants. I think that's a good thing.
Sanders (the Vermont Senator) won with 2/3 of the votes. Interestingly, they are both Jewish. I wonder how that affects their Mid East War voting.....
