A dismal day in New York.

The AG, Spitzer is running for governor and is a shoo in. As AG he did not a thing about the two biggest crime problems we have - auto insurance fraud and medicade/medicare rip-offs. Both of them built on phoney medical billings and cost the state taxpayers and drivers billion$$. Oganized crime on a grand scale that would make Tony Saprano blanch...

Cuomo - the son of the ex-governor - whose last real job was director of HUD under Clinton and presided over the flipping of homes by "non-profits" with the taxpayers holding the bag when it all collapsed - now is shoo in for AG.

Dont forget Hevisi - running for state controller - also a shoo in - this after being busted for providing a car and driver to his wife at taxpayer expense. Oh yeah - he is double dipping with $120,000 in state pensions payouts yearly (state tax free) besides his (third) government salary. The GOP candidate is so weak - nobody knows his name.

Not one of them fit to hold office - all three we will be stuck with for many years to come...

Just awful.:(

Same nonsense in California. It's musical chairs among career politicians. The insurance commissioner wants to be lt Gov. The AG wants to be treasurer. The lt gov wants to be insurance commissioner.

gaijindabe, I'm going home to vote soon, and I feel the same way. Poor choices all around.

Spitzer is a diick.
Cost companies millions in frivolous lawsits.
Showboat.

widebody911 11-07-2006 01:51 PM

So, gaijindabe-san, why don't you run for office and right all these wrongs?

stomachmonkey 11-07-2006 03:17 PM

I just finished voting.

Every year I look for it and can never find the "Get rid of all the idiots from both sides and start over from scratch" lever.

Sad day for New Yorkers... George Pataki has destoyed the Republican party in this state.

NY, like Iraq, needs to be split up into the represenative ethnic groups. NYS is a Red State. NYC along with Long Island, is a Blue State. Let's make NYC the 51st state!

Porsche virgin 11-08-2006 05:21 AM

If we are splitting up states, we should split Northern and Southern California, too.

These stories, all true as far as I can tell, is a product of democracy wherein the guy who get 50% plus one gets the office, and the guy that gets 50% minus one goes home.

Continue to vote for the two large parties, or to vote at all, and all of this crap will continue unabated.
